mailserver setup

I am having a local mailserver (sendmail/fetchmail)distributing mails locally. We have a fetchall mailbox for fetching mails from our provider. Some of the mailboxes are also available in the provider server for remote users who fetch mails directly.

Now if localusers send mails to remote users using smtp as localserver it failed since no such remote users are not available in my localserver .If i use our provider smtp it goes as usual. But i dont want to use my isp smtp, what is the best way of configuring my local server to send remote users mailbox from our local users.

Please provide some information/link to solve the problem.

i can't think of a simple solution for this. if there is a way to forward mails using ip address then you'll be able to create mail boxes of remote users in local server and then forward mails come to their boxes to the remote server using the ip address.

Thanks for the reply, through some research from many sites,i understand that if i configure my local server as a subdomain like, the problem will be solved.Still i have many
queries on my mind.
1.If i configure my local server as ", all the users will be
2.Can i masquerade to ""?
3.Now my localserver is acting as relay to my isp server. Will it work after changing to subdomain?
