mail server


hello,

i have a mail server installed in my machine ubunut 9.04(postfix,pop3 and imap).
i want to have in what log file I can find information about how many messages are sent and how many messages are not sent using command lines?

To find the number of mails sent:
Code:
cat /var/log/maillog | grep sent|wc -l
However, if your logfile is rotated, it will not be correct.

Since you use postfix, take a look at the plugins
http://www.postfix.com/addon.html

Look in your
Code:
/var/log/*
directory for compressed files
