Smile mail host rbl creation and email notification


Hi,

Can anyone help me to know that how can i create my own rbl database and notification over email to those who'll be listed in rbl to tell them that this IP is listed in rbl???

Hello,

There are two packages that I know of that can be used for creating your own RBL:

rbldns and RBLDNSD

As for notifying IP addresses, I think you will have to do a bit of custom programming/scripting to get that to work. I would think that the best thing to do would be to automate a WHOIS on the IP and pull the contact information and then send an email to that address.

Why do you want to create a database of your own? Most of them have public databases. You can use any one of those and check against them.

Public databases only send email to IP owners.
I want to use this for my users and inform then through email notification that the IP is blocked in rbl due to spamming.
