ltsp with compiz

Hi
I was wondering if it is possible to use accelerated X with ltsp.
My idea is to have thin clients with some sort of integrated graphics accelerator and to boot them from network and let them use compiz, so that your central server runs only the applications inside and the user can still profit from compiz etc.

So my questions are:

* Is it possible to use accelerated X (desktop effects) with LTSP environment?
* Are there any allready created thin clients?
* Is it worth it? Or should I say: Are the thin clients power effective/cost effective??

THX
