Let me say to start - I am not an IT or hardware person and have limited understanding of my needs and looking for direction.

We are currently using Dell server running MS. We have had a lot of problems with Dell hardware and will not consider them again. We are currently looking for new hardware for 2011 and will decide on new OP-SYS change over if necessary in 2012, but are stuck with MS for now!

We run database and email on same server and seems okay. We are small (8) user with a lot of demand for storage due to business type. We have RAID now and will probably stay with this configuration but we are open to suggestions.

I would like a suggestion of vendor in Virginia possibly Richmond or near to Richmond. If I am in the wrong location please point me else in the forum!

Why not try the local linux users group?
http://www.linux.com/community/groups
do a Ctrl + F and search for virginia. Ask for a recommendation.
