Looking for an application for video streaming station

Hey all!

I'm running Debain on my server and my firm and I will start a little internet streaming TV station.

The basic streaming via VLC is not a problem, but I would need preferebly an application that could monitor the streaming via http. Meaning that we can let say upload a video via ftp to a certian folder and then we can simply insert it into the playlist via an http. The main problem is seting a playlist that would be different everyday and that it can be modified without turning off the streaming.

Cheers,
shorto
