Linux-postgre combination


Shall any provide information about which version of Linux is best suited to run Postgresql

Hi,

welcome to LQ!

First things first: it's either postgresql, or postgres, for short (not
official but commonly accepted) - not postgre.

Secondly: unless your preferred distro isn't obscure, and doesn't provide
you with packages I'd dare say just about any will be just fine. One
advantage of debian based Postgres packages/-ing is that it will allow you
to update on the fly by running two versions of Postgres in parallel, which
makes an update fairly straight forward (of course if you have high load
or low memory that may not be feasible).
