Hi -
Q: Where's the database (on Windows, or Linux)?
Q: Where's the client?
Q: What have you tried so far?
Q: What exactly is going wrong?
This link might help (details setting up Linux ODBC for a Linux client talking to a Windows server):

Pervasive is on Windows (for now)
Q: Where's the client?
The client will be a debian server. PHP web app. Currently the client is a Windows box.
Q: What have you tried so far?
Not tried anything thus far, doing some research and will break the dev environment first.
Q: What exactly is going wrong?
Nothing. Just looking to improve an existing system that is working ok.

I didn't use pervasive, assuming that is a brand, but I did set up a Linux server to connect to an MS SQL-Server database using an ODBC connection. I used FreeTDS for the drivers. Most of the stuff works just fine, with the exception that stored procedures don't return result values. Normal queries, however, execute without a hitch.

Pervasive is a database software company. I'll try out the above and see how I get on.
Thanks for your help.
