Linux Install Problem
 
Hai Friends

I have one doubt , Today i installed centos 4 in my laptop.

its installing properly . when disc 3 installing i got package error . for cd corrupt. i am not able to open disc for putting some other disc.becaz its mounted. when click ok button the system restarted.
that time i click ok, then the system restart.then i wil install fresh.

is there any other way to install for the corrupt cd or corrupt package while installing.

If you have defective CD's, there is no way to know what is bad on the CD.

Best thing is to download the ISO image again, check the md5sum, burn a new copy, slowly, and try again.

Most of these problems are the result of errors when downloading, and burning too fast, with a system too busy on poor media.

if you know what packages it cant install you can alway choose not to install them during the os installation and then install them later.
