Can you recommend good sources for learning Apache web server. There is three books, and two of them are old, and the one that I got does not seem to be very good ("Pro Apache", 3rd Edition, from Apress). It may not be bad, but I read it, and it seems like I would be reading about something else, and I dont get / remember anything type of thing (I read a lot of other IT books, also Linux <quite a lot> and as you know some of them are better and the other not as much).

I looked through google.com, and there is some sources, and some of them are paid. Maybe there is something good somewhere else?

I also read the book from the dedoimedo.com person, and this was actually good. I have a better understanding of what it is, and so on.

In general I want to learn Apache and Nginx, as I will be specializing in this. Linux / system administration / web server / email / ftp. I need it for hosting my own websites.

I used a book Sam's Apache: Teach yourself in 24 hours. Not just old (2002), but a pain also to read. Never got through it.

Now I am reading Nginx HTTP Server - Third Edition [eBook]: seems quite readable.

"Pro Apache", 3rd from Apress is a good book (the best for it). I would read the one from dedoimedo.com person first and then do the Apress one. After that the docs at apache.org. There is another book coming out in 2016. Probably not much more out there that is free.
