RHEL5 ldap not recognize groups. The client does recognize users.
I just finished building my first ldap server, openldap 2.3.43 on RHEL5.4.
I have an ou=people and an ou=groups. I built a client and pointed it to the server. If I log into the client it can authenticate a user but not groups. The same is true on the server. I have edited the

passwd: files ldap
shadow: files ldap
group: files ldap

It works for the passwd and shadow files but not groups. I have three different groups defined but they are not getting through. I'm confused. In my searches I've found others who aren't getting anything but so far nothing like this.
