What is the client system? Have you told it to look at an LDAP server for its authentication data?

I'm having the same problem as Amit. I've gone through a few documents already, including following the guide at linux home networking without any luck. I have verified that the ldap server is running and everything looks good by using the ldapsearch or slapcat command. On the client side, I was able to run the ldapsearch command and it did display all the objects from the ldap server. My only problem is that I can't login from the client side. I know the username and password is correct. Both server and client is CentOS 5.3. Any ideas? Thank you.
