I have some systems that I need to configure and install CentOS 6 on and they can't be connected to any network. I have two questions related to this.
1. From my reading of the documents, I should place my kickstart file (ks.cfg) in the /isolinux directory before burning to disk. I've also been told it should be in the root (/) partition instead. Anyone have a suggestion which is correct. Maybe I should just put it in both locations.
2. I have some tar files and scripts to run in the post section. If I burn this to the dvd under /myscripts, how would I reference that in the %post section? I wasn't able to get a clear picture of that yet.
pretty sure it's the root, but not sure about that.
As for the /myscripts part though, you'd use a %post section with the --nochroot option added to it, so the installed system will be available under "/mnt/sysimage/" and the rest of the installation media will be at /
I think this will create a sub-directory to /var/tmp; copy all of my scripts and tar files to it; then run the master script within a chrooted environment. Sound correct?
