keep copy of mail in mail server after download using pop

Hi all:

Need some help with sendmail.

Do I have to create a zone in DNS for sendmail or just an MX record is ok?

As I will configure POP and when the users download mail from server the mail will be deleted as we know.
I want to keep a copy of that mail in server. how to do that?

thanks in advance.
