Kaspersky
I have installed the Kaspersky latest rpm on to my suse linux server 11. However it does not seem to be running.
How do I configure Kaspersky - I did read somewhere that if it is not configured - although it is installed it will not work?
Many thanks in advance.

How about reading the documentation on their website, that tells you how to do it??

Must be doing something wrong
I have read the documentation on kaspersky, avaat and avg for linux servers and it makes no difference at all, in fact trying to install any external software comes back with errors every time.
I have learnt a lot from setting up my own server, but installing 3rd party software leaves me stumped.
Regards,

Exactly my next question.
OP, we can only help if you provide details. Just telling us you get errors doesn't give us alot to go on.

I have installed Kaspersky in Linux before and the docs were pretty good. Off the top of my head a few potential problems would be an unsupported version of Linux (I don't think all 64bit versions are supported), and not having kernel headers available. If you read through the docs and follow exactly you should be good.
Also IIRC there are some things mentioned midway through the install (I think relating to webmin and requirements for a management interface to be installed) so it might be worthwhile to read through the entire process, and get everything prepped then start the actual install. I think you will at the least want to have kernel headers available, a compiler, and have webmin installed already. I think you will also need Perl as some of the post install scripts are written in Perl.
