Java Issue


Hi,

I have installed JAVA in one of my server java 1.6.0
when i give java -version
it is showing" java 1.6.0 version "
but
When i type javac -version It is giving:
"Eclipse Java Complier v_677_R32x,3.2.1 release,Copyrightr IBM corp 2000,2006.All rights reserved."

It is not showing correct java version 1.6.0_29"
Please help me on this I am using Redhat Linux 5 version.

On RedHat you'll probably find that the java compiler is a symlink somewhere, check the symlink and alter it to point to your new java compiler executable.

You did install the compiler didn't you?

2)
/usr/sbin/alternatives --install /usr/bin/java java /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_29/bin/java 2

3) /usr/sbin/alternatives --config java
.. And select the "sun jdk6_29".
