Issue with mail forwarding

Trying to configure mail forwarding. I have 3 total users to set this for. For the first 2 I created a .forward file in the home directory and everything processed as expected. For the third I set up the .forward file and it is not working. The difference is that this third user is a su only user and the first 2 were not. This is a generic user that some people are granted access to through sudo that mimics a customer user permissions. Is mail forwarding possible for these types of users?

Hello Scott,

Perhaps the first step to take if you haven't already done so is to check the respective files at around the time of mail delivery. Check /var/log/maillog and perhaps /var/log/messages. Typically these issues tend to be permission related - these log files should confirm.

Regards,

Rawcous!

Thank you Rawcous for the response. Once I was able to view the files, it pointed out what the problem was. Helped get me a solution.
