Question iptraf / iftop alternative to check bandwidth usage realtime

Hello.

Is there any alternative software to iptraf or iftop? I want to check realtime bandwidth usage of hosts/users (from CLI) who connect to the internet through the server.

Looks like iptraf is obsolete, it can't recognize p(n)p(n) NIC and also gives out error message. Tried iftop and can barely comprehend the output.

I'd give iftop another chance, but Linux is about choices.
You can check:

ipfm
pktstat
tcptrack

They have similar features.

Thank you for the response.
I tried out tcptrack and it's output is exactly one I was looking for! Sadly, for unknown reason, it only shows server's IP as source (client tab). I tried toggling promiscuous mode but it is the same.

Followed your advise and tried iftop again. With "-N -b -P" options it looks better.

Thanks

BWM-NG is the software which provides interface based Realtime bandwidth. You can also use it to monitor other devices like HDD read/write etc.
