Question error on dovecot login

Thankyou for your reply.
As I have checked all the permissions are ok I think so. The mailbox location /var/spool/mail is owned by the user dovecot-auth whose uid is 101 and gid is 101. and dovecot-auth user is specified in the auth-user parameter in dovecot.conf file. Is it right?
what should be the uid and gid for the users?

I don't know dovecot; you might want to ask on their list. This is a dovecot syslog message, not postfix.

What is clear is that dovecot does not have permission - it isn't deceiving you!

In your config, you had

virtual_gid_maps = static:120
virtual_mailbox_base = /var/spool/mail
virtual_mailbox_maps = ldap:accounts
virtual_minimum_uid = 125
virtual_uid_maps = static:125

So postfix will set the owner/group of files as 125/120. Dovecot is set to 101/101. I don't know how you have your groups setup, but it is clear that dovecot doesn't have group acccess to the spool files.
