installing Linux in Xen - how do you do it?
I've been successfully installing Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 on my SuSE 10.3 with Xen 3.1. It's been great!
However, I want to go the "inbreeding" way and install Ubuntu in Xen. I tried using the standard configuration that I used for Windows but it does not work. can someone post a sample configuration? Of course Google points me to millions of hits with Windows on Xen, but not Linux in Xen. The reason I want to do this is to set up a separate public website on the same physical machine (2x4CPU Xeon machine with 8GB of RAM) :). |
here is some info.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Xen http://www.howtoforge.com/debian_sarge_xen_3.0.3 just look for the domU stuff and it looks like it will work. with windows it has to be run as a full virtualized machine but on linux domU you can have it paravirtualized which will work alot better. |
