Unhappy Installing continuum over tomcat. How to diagnose Internal server error.

I am a Newbie when it comes to these java servelets and webapps. So, with the help of my manager, we resolved the java dependencies and I got the continuum to show up when I browse to http://localhost:8080/continuum. but apart from the Build buttons at the left, it just shows 'The URL requested results in an internal error'. I dont even know how and where to start diagnosing the problem.

I checked under /var/log/tomcat5 for messages and even though there are logs, they are just showing java messages. No errors as such. Please help!

thanks

You should look at catalina.out logfile where everything is logged
