Unhappy Installed PHP via Yast, how do I ./configure?

Okay, I'm running Suse 10.3. I installed apache and php via yast, and everything is working fine. However, I installed some additional modules, etc, but how do I use the ./configure method to enable them.

I installed php-fastcgi, however, when I run my phpinfo() test script, it does not show that it is enabled.
