Unhappy Installed PHP via Yast, how do I ./configure?

Okay, I'm running Suse 10.3. I installed apache and php via yast, and everything is working fine. However, I installed some additional modules, etc, but how do I use the ./configure method to enable them.

I installed php-fastcgi, however, when I run my phpinfo() test script, it does not show that it is enabled.

If you want to configure from source, you'd need to download and install the PHP source from php.net.
