i get input/output read error while trying to copy
avseq.dat files from cdrom to my local hardisk

i installed rhel3 in pIII processor based pc and installed mplayer.when i am trying to copy the movie contents ie the avseq.dat files from the cdrom to my root directory i am getting input/output read error. but when i am trying to copying some other cds like the rpms from the rhel3 cd they are copying . i also checked the cdrom by connecting it to winxp there
the avseq.dat files are copying.
