I have tshark installed on several Debian servers. I have a custom script in /etc/init.d/ and in /etc/rc2.d I have a symlink to /etc/init.d/
/etc/init.d/tshark
/etc/rc2.d/S99tshark (<--- this is a symlink to /etc/init.d/)
On all but 1 server, tshark starts on boot. The only way I am able to get tshark to start on the 1 server that is being a pain in the butt is to change S99 to S22 or anything higher priority than 99 essentially. All servers are same hardware, same OS, same version, etc etc etc
Can anyone think of a reason why this init script isn't started when S99 but it works when S20?
I also can't find anywhere on the Debian box that logs init script failures!!
