Hello everyone,

I know that this forum is more of a software related one, however my question adresses to a hardware issue of the IBM Netfinity 5000 server.

In the near future I will have to keep one of the above server models in my apartment, possibly even in my room for some time. Since the server has 4xSCSI disks and quite big vents as far as I know ... I'd like to ask you if it will be possible to live in one room with such a loud server? Will I be able to sleep normally?

I've never worked on such machine, and I think it would be nice to learn some new stuff on it ... however, the possible noise worries me a bit.

Does anyone have such server at home and can stand it's noise?
