HELP ME PLEASE!,
I got a used rack mount server and have no idea how to set it up to host websites. I messed it up a bit because the desktop doesn't come up any more. So how can I fix my desktop and how can I get it to work as a server. I know I am asking alot, but I really nead alot of help. I've used nothing but windows all my life and this is all new to me.

It does say something about: "Couldn't start x server, trying with a fresh configuration, trying with card: intel 810." but it is stuck in a loop. every once and a while i can get a command promt but it is by luck. When I do get a command promt, it says "you got mail.

Moved: This thread is more suitable in Linux Server and has been moved accordingly to help your thread/question get the exposure it deserves.
If you want to get help asap, then I suggest you mention whcih Linux distribution and version you are using. You also need to tell us how you broke X. We can also help with setting up the webserver once we know the Linux distribution you are using.
