How to setup sendmail as internal email server

Hi,

I have a local LAN in my small office here consists of 10 clients and I would like to set up a dedicated email server, using sendmail, for internal email communication.

How can I setup sendmail to do so without having a FQDN and no internet access to outside world?

first of all install webmin, with this tool you can administrate sendmail

You need neither an FQDN nor Internet access to use sendmail. The configuration is just the same as an external MTA except you don't need to worry about spam.

You may find that Postfix is easier to use than Sendmail for a first time user.

Carl.
