Would you please explain how this post is anything more than an elaborate bump to your thread?

Such tactics are highly frowned upon at LQ and unless you have a new question or subject, this thread will get reported.

You still haven't answered my question: how was this post more than an attempt to draw additional attention to your original thread in a round-about way. This thread it titled: "How to set up multiple Name Based SSL hosts on a single IP". How does your original post in this thread have anything to do with that subject?

You have now violated a number of LQ rules in addition to showing poor netiquette and a lack of respect for LQ as exhibited by your first post. Here is a link for you to review, as it appears that you could use a refresher. It is also tacitly understood that at LQ we spell out our words and avoid using jargon like ppl, u, and pls.

Now you are making unsupported assumptions. I have placed an answer to your question in your other thread, where it belongs.

Yes, people are here to ask and answer questions. There is nothing implied in any way that says you are entitled to a fully clear understanding. This forum is run by volunteers who freely give of their time and efforts. You are in no position to demand anything.

I didn't demanded anything dear Okay. And before me posting all those things look at your own reply where you are saying Poor Tactics and all.

Is it a crime to create a new thread to get more attention for your previous post which suddenly lost somewhere ? What is so wrong in that, just tell me that ?

Neither I demanded anything nor i asked any one in person to answer my post. So if it is against your wish or your thoughts or your ideologies you can choose NOT to reply.

And more over You are not the only one at LQ who is giving their time and effort. I am also a part of some other paid premium technical forums, so i know all about time and effort. Let me tell, Nobody is here at LQ for for Nothing. Everyone has something or the other in mind before they join any forum which is basically for their own benefit.

Thanks now.

You have been a member of LQ for four months. I have been a member here for four years. You have violated the etiquette, culture, and community rules of LQ. Making posts with a similar topic saying, "please see my other thread" is not a practice that LQ endorses. It is an adherence to these kinds of guidelines that separates LQ form the vast number of other forums, apparently even including the paid ones that you belong to.

If your other thread did not satisfactorily answer your questions, the appropriate thing to do would be to make an additional post to that thread explaining why you would like additional clarification. Starting a new thread, with a similar subject saying "please read my question" is not. Your original thread did not disappear, as you obviously found it and linked to it. As I said, LQ operates differently than most forums and one of the differences is that your thread doesn't have to be on the front page of the list to gain attention. Making bump posts like you did is a lot of the reason that other places must do this.

The fact is that you erred and I explained to you how you made an error.
