How to set up a memcahced cluster?

Mods...please move this if it's in the wrong forum...thanks.

Hello all,

I am installing another front end webserver for our site. I have been trying to find out how to make memcached on each server "cluster" with each other (if that's the right term?)

I've read many white papers that say that "clustering memcache is the best thing since sliced bread"....but I've YET to find a "howto" about it...I'm lost I have NO idea how to do this

I'm running Solaris 10

Any thoughts/suggestions...

well that's because there are no instructions to follow. just start as many memcached instances as you want. there is no inherent concept of a cluster. it's up to YOU to define which cluster to go to, not memcached's - so use modulus hashing algorithms etc... to fairly load your servers.
