how to save bandwidth while package upgrades

Here is a mail in /var/mail/root which I received in my server logs
http://paste.ubuntu.com/532872/
I see same packages downloaded many times again and again.
The servers which are upgrading are total 5 (4 virtual machines and one host)
so is there a way I can save bandwidth on this sort of setup.

it's as simple as "don't use ubuntu". I don't know what they did to apt, but it's not very smart on updates.

one example is kernels: on the machines I've been administrating, ubuntu's apt would always fill up my /boot partition with identical kernel images.

one other way is to file a bug report, because this definitely is one.

Try creating a Local Debian/Ubuntu Mirror.
