How to run pl/sql from Unix shell scripts? plz

I am very new to the field. Please help & also tell
What it means to run a package of pl/sql ? I thought package of pl/sql simply is used to encapsulate procedures/functions

u need to run oracle console or what? what is your objective.
after install the oracle client/server properly, simply goto ORACLE_HOME/bin

thats all.
