how to retain an original copy of mail in internet while fetching to Sendmail server

Hi,
I've configured a internal sendmail server on RHEL4 ES OS in my company. At present everyone's thunderbird or outlookexpress is configured with the mail server ip.

The problem is that the mail server is downloading the "original copy" of mail from the net.

Now i want to retain an original copy of mail in the net.Is there any option in sendmail server, like in thunderbird, evolution or outlook express(Leave messages in server), to retain the original mail in net.

With Regards,
Your Friend...
