how to make read only share folder with no printout access to clients on linux


Hello everyone.Actually i have to make one share folder on linux in such way that user should only read the documents from shared folder and they should not take prints of that folder.could any one telme what server i should use.?samba or nfs?how can i stop client users to stop taking prints from that shared folder.please helpme on this im waiting for ur response.help highly appreciated.

what is a "print"?? do you mean copy? If so there's no way to prevent that... if they can open a file, they can save it somewhere else etc.

thanks 4 ur reply.Actually print means users should not take print outs of that share folder and they cannot edit the files.i think we can do this in samba server.but im not 100% sure how to do it.my manager told me make a folder where no one can edit nor take printout of that file.ur right may be they can copy the file but i have a software called prevent that will not allow to copy.but please telme how to make a readonly share folder with no printout should be taken...........

Again, what does "prints" mean?? saying "prints just means prints" really doesn't clarify anything at all. If you do mean printing to paper, then this is totally impossible. once a file is open within an application, the filesystem it came from is totally irrelevant.
