How to make a static IP?


Hello,
I'm new to linux server and I'm trying to build a server at the moment.
How can I assign the server a static IP?

I'm using linux server 9.10

i thought it was my problem but it's not.

After I installed apache2 and php5 I don't get the page that say "It Works!"

What's wrong?
