How to implement phpMyAdmin in RHEL 5.1


Dear all,

Thanks for all the effort you have done to lift me up. Now I have problem, I configured mysql in RHEL5.1 and I tested it , it workks well, but I wish to exploit it in graphical mode. Can you assist me to imprement the phpMyAdmin for me to use it in graphical meode? Thanks a Lott. I am waiting from you.

i dont think there is much difficulty in that.just install phpmyadmin..
open a web browser type
localhost/phpmyadmin at your address bar.login with your username and password..and thats it.

Hi dude

The above procedure is right but skipping some basic things like:

- You must install most of the php & mysql related packages from RHEL DVD e.g. bcmath, etc

- Else PHPmyAdmin will complain you about the missing packages.

may be..i am not that familiar with red hat..in ubuntu it is really simple. we can use synaptic package manager for its installation.
