How to Fine Number of LAN CARDS in REDHAT LINUX SERVER ?


Hi,

Can anybody help me with the command to find :

Number of IP-LANCARDS in RedHat Linux server ?

From the terminal window,
Code:
lspci
will show you the hardware installed. You can grep that listing for "net"
Code:
lspci | grep net
to search for network cards.
Code:
ifconfig
will show you the separate interfaces, but wouldn't differentiate between (4) 1-port cards and (1) four-port card.

As you've been told before in some of your other threads, you can use lscpi, as netnix99 suggested too. You can also try Google and/or Red Hat support. Please try putting some effort into learning things on your own. And AGAIN...you are using Red Hat ENTERPRISE, and should be PAYING FOR IT, which means you are paying for SUPPORT AS WELL...USE IT.

Again, you post questions that are easily answered with a VERY small amount of effort, never say thanks or even acknowledge you got help. Why should anyone help you, when you behave like that? Also, you seem to ask the same question on SEVERAL Linux forums.
