How to enable keepalive on a shared environment


Hi,

can anyone help me to enable keep alive, im in shared environment and have access only to cpanel and jailed shell access. can i enable it from my end? or is it need to be enable from main whm and how?

Well, I hate to bring bad news but unless you have root access to the server itself you will not be able to enable keep-alive. You will need to get the server administrator to add keep-alive to the Apache configuration. Jailshell access will only allow you to access your account via ssh, this is a chroot environment.

Depending on the type of account that you have and the hosting provider, it is most likely that they will not turn on keep-alive as this can cause higher load levels on the server. So don't be surprised if they tell you that they cannot enable it.
