Hi

In my server, i am working with Httpd server. When i am checking the df statues with 'i' option, i got to know that all inodes are used ( reaching 99% ).

Please let me know how to create the inodes.

There is no command that will simply create more available inodes on the fly. You will most likely need to remove some files to free them up in the meantime.

In order to specify more inodes on a filesystem check out the mke2fs command's man page. You would need to rebuild your file system to do this, so make sure you have backups etc..

Quote:
-N number-of-inodes
overrides the default calculation of the number of inodes that
should be reserved for the filesystem (which is based on the
number of blocks and the bytes-per-inode ratio). This allows
the user to specify the number of desired inodes directly.
