How to configure sendmail with windows/Linux clients

Dear All,
I have configured sendmail in my linux machine,when i try to configure the sendmail account in another windows machine in outlook express i was not able to configure the sendmail account,iam facing authentication problem while configuring,i searched in google for solution but i was not able to find the solution,can any one help me on this sendmail.

What is (are) the error message (messages) you are receiving? Also, please capture the log entries associated with an attempted transaction.
