How to compile Kernel with bigmem support

Hi every one!
I have a Debian distro and I'm compiling the kernel to activate layer 7 filtering on iptables.
I patched the kernel 2.6.26 and compiled it perfectly for arch x86.
Now, what I need to do is to enable the bigmem capability but I just can't find out what I need to do...
Should I change anything in menuconfig? should I apply any other patch?

I'm trying google it for a solution but I just can't find any thing.

I hope some one here could give me some direction to complete this task...

Thanks a lot for the help!

Maybe because google also doesn't know what you are asking either. What do you mean by "bigmem" ?.
For a start, try grepping your .config for "highmem" and "hugetlb".

What I mean by bigmem is the capability of processors 32 bits 686 to manage 64 GB of Ram memory.

That would be highmem;
Processor type and features -> High Memory Support

Standard (32-bit) kernel feature - no patch required.

Perfect!
Thanks a lot!
