How to change IP address on vsftp server

I know I need to change the ifcfg-eth0 file in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/, but is there anywhere else I would need to update any IP info on the server 1) in general or 2) because it's a vsftp server?

I have a dhcp connection, that's why IP is always changed but I can connect to vsftp server with new IP without changing anything in config file. I can upload and download files easily.

In general, all places where you have given hard coded IP value, you need to change there.

Suppose you are using it as database server and you have given hostname hard coded, you need to change it.

No..the service should be running on your server, and will inherit the IP address of your server.

That said...you *CAN* also tell a particular service to listen on a specific IP address. But unless you have multiple NIC's in your server, and have configured the service to listen on a particular address, you're fine. Changing that address and bouncing the server should be all you have to do. And the server-reboot is optional, but suggested.

ok, thanks. I doubt anyone did it, but how would I tell if vsftp is working over a specific IP?
