How to backup Ubuntu server to LTO 5 tap drive


I have IBM TS 2900 Autoloader and put IBM Total storage LTO 5 Ultrium (1.5 TB data cartridge).
and I want to make backup from my ubuntu server to IBM TS 2900.
would you please suggest me how to do this?

Sure...contact IBM, and get the drivers needed for your tape unit to work. From there, use one of the MANY easily-found backup solutions for Linux. Things like zmanda and bacula are easily found/loaded...you can even use tar.

Which driver i installed my server and what is the procedure of setup? Would you please give me details information.

You install the driver THAT YOU HAVE TO GET FROM IBM.

How to set it up and install it will also come from IBM support. Since you bought the piece of hardware, you also purchased support...call them. And did you try to go to IBM's website and do a basic search???

yes. but i don't have idea about that. So I am so confused how to start this ?

Go to http://www.ibm.com. Find their contact information there, or look up your tape library, and see if they have drivers. Not sure what you're confused about.
