how to avoid motd banner after successfull ftp login


How can I stop the motd banner to be printed after logging in via ftp?

I don't want it to show only with ftp, ssh and other means are ok with the banner.

or how to have a different motd banner for ftp only?

We would need to know what ftp daemon you're using to help you with that.
