how to append domain in Account Name in Mail server

I have setup a Mail server using a Maildir format. Of course, you'll just input the Account Name,Password and the outgoing and incoming server in your Email client. How can I append a domain in my Account name? Lets say my Account Name is nelson. I want to change things. How can I append a domain in every Account Name in my Mail server? Instead of typing nelson, I'll be putting nelson@linux.com.

Is this possible?

well you've not mentioned anythign at all about what servers you're even using, so i'm not sure how you expect to get all that much help... maybe you would look at using somethign like vpopmail to move to abstract a local unix account from the email address associated with it?

The setup is I have a proxy mail server and connected to local mail server where Mailbox is stored. Users are login using their Account in the server. Usually its just login and no domain. I just "useradd" and then the user account. Qmail is the MTA used in both proxy and local mail server
