how to analyze a server crash?

HI I am a newbie to linux.

I am working with RHEL 6.5 configured as a web server and proxy server.

My server crashed suddenly and rebooted.

how to hunt the reason for the crash???
what are the logs to be checked to get a valid reason for crash???

pls help.

Are you not able to find system log files in /var/log directory?
