how to add new user account Nagios over Ubuntu Server

Hi, I need to add a aditional user account for monitoring web over nagios.

any idea?, is possible?

Hi There,

Just edit your file cgi.cfg and add the new user at the end of each of the following line (separate each user name by a coma):

Code:

authorized_for_system_information=nagiosadmin,newuser
authorized_for_configuration_information=nagiosadmin,newuser
authorized_for_system_commands=nagiosadmin,newuser
authorized_for_all_services=nagiosadmin,newuser
authorized_for_all_hosts=nagiosadmin,newuser
authorized_for_all_service_commands=nagiosadmin,newuser
authorized_for_all_host_commands=nagiosadmin,newuser

Then, set the password for that user, run:

Code:

htpasswd /usr/local/nagios/etc/htpasswd.users newuser

and finally restart Apache:

Code:

/etc/init.d/apache2 restart
