How to add courier bold 16 to X server?

I have the following in my /usr/share/fonts/75dpi/font.alias.
courB18 -adobe-courier-bold-r-normal--18-180-75-75-m-110-iso8859-1
courB12 -adobe-courier-bold-r-normal--12-120-75-75-m-70-iso8859-1
courB24 -adobe-courier-bold-r-normal--24-240-75-75-m-150-iso8859-1
courB10 -adobe-courier-bold-r-normal--10-100-75-75-m-60-iso8859-1
courB14 -adobe-courier-bold-r-normal--14-140-75-75-m-90-iso8859-1

courB16 is missing in that file and I need to add to the server.

However, in /usr/share/fonts/75dpi/fonts.dir, I don't find any thing starts with a '-dobe-courier-bold-r-normal--16'. Does that mean the courier bold 16 font is not installed? Why 10,12,14,28 are installed but not 16? xfontsel doesn't allow me to select 16 either. Is there a way to install it?

Many thanks!

The Adobe Courier font does not have a bitmapped version available in pixel size 16, at least not in current distributions.

Ideally you would change the font selection in the application that requires the font. An alternative would be to work around the problem by setting up an alias to a different font in font.alias (but you are unlikely to find a similar bitmapped font with that pixel size; you may have to alias to a font with pixel size 17).
