How organisation autenticate users password for both linux and Windows

Hi,

We have Active directory to authenticate users for windows machines. We have nis to authenticate linux users. These users are using both windows as well as windows. They are using two different credentials for windows and nix environments. Now we are planning to implement centralized users management for both Linux and windows users. So that we have track of them and maintain single credentials for all machines and application. How company's will handling this what applications they are using? Please suggest.

Hi...

Just as a suggestion, you might want to change your username using the instructions at the top of the page here, lest your email inbox ends up with a boatload of SPAM in the very near future.

Regards...
