How can I check in a stand-alone server installed with linux whether SMTP-AUTH is configured or not ?

My installed MTA is SENDMAIL.

Please reply to my query.

You can telnet on port 25 to the server in question and use the ehlo command, to see how it responds:

If it comes with 250-AUTH lines, it means that SMTP-AUTH works.
