How does ftp user logs


Hai everyone

I configured VSftpd. When I login from client to server the username is anonimous or ftp. So ftp logs. But ftp user shell is nologin then how does ftp logs.

/sbin/nologin is run when the users try to run a shell (ie if they try to get a command prompt). FTP doesn't use the shell.

In other words, VSftpd handles all the interaction with the user, inc logging.
